The cost of driving test depends on when you would like to take the test. For example, taking your driving test on weekdays can be cheaper than taking your driving course on a weekend or evening. Therefore it is best to check the driving test cost before deciding on when to take it. Also please note that not all driving test center offer the same, standard test times.

The driving test costs for a car are as follows:


Test type - Car:

  • Theory test costs £23 on Weekdays and £23 on Evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Abridged theory test costs £18 Weekdays and £18 on Evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Practical Driving test costs £62 Weekdays and £75 on Evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Extended driving test for disqualified drivers costs £124 and £54 on Evenings, weekends and bank holidays
